It is WayMaker Wednesday. Today, Stop Hiding Inside The Next Question.
The Question
What choice are you keeping open by asking one more question?
The Thought
Stop trying to solve what you already need to choose.
A sharp mind can always find another question. It can test each side, spot each risk, and ask for more facts. That skill can help you find the truth. It can also help you avoid it.
Some questions need time. Many do not. You already know what the next choice will cost, and you do not want to pay it. So you keep thinking. Each new question feels like good work, but nothing changes.
That is the trap. You are not stuck because the answer is hidden. You are stuck because the answer asks something of you.
You reread the unanswered text. You think of five ways to reply. You wait for the perfect words. Meanwhile, the silence says something for you.
Endless thought has a real cost. It drains your time, keeps your promises loose, and teaches you not to trust your own word. The way out is not one more answer. It is a choice.
Name what you know. Accept what it costs. Move.
Some answers only come after you choose.
Put It Into Action
Try the Last Question Exercise:
- Write down the choice you keep thinking about.
- Name the fact you are still waiting to learn.
- Choose today if that fact will not change your answer.
- Let the choice teach you.
Share this with someone who may already know enough.
Forge Forward,
Jon Mayo
