Worry Is a Thief. Courage Is the Cure.
It is WayMaker Wednesday! Time to challenge your mind, reframe your perspective, and equip yourself for action.
The Question
What courageous truth are you avoiding that, if faced, would free you to move forward?
The Thought
Worry is preposterous.
It is a misuse of imagination.
It drains power from the present.
And worst of all, it gives life to that which you fear.
Instead, take all that energy and invest it into stewarding what you can control.
Feeling tied up in knots about something outside your control?
There is an old prayer worth remembering:
"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference."
So ask yourself: Can I control what I am worried about?
Yes? Good. Act decisively. Influence the outcome.
No? Good. Focus on your response. That is still within your control.
Unsure? Good. Learn. Discern. Adjust. Then act accordingly.
The courageous do not waste time wishing life was easier. They get stronger by stewarding what they have been given, faithfully and fully.
