It is WayMaker Wednesday. Time to break the script and reimagine your life.
The Question
What would it take for your everyday to become something others put on their someday list?
The Thought
The myth of the bucket list tells you to wait.
Wait until you retire.
Wait until you can afford it.
Wait until the timing is perfect.
But WayMakers do not wait.
They understand:
You do not need to jump out of a plane to feel alive.
You need to jump into your purpose, with both feet.
A bucket list is about escaping your life.
A bucket life is about building one you never want to leave.
Do not chase thrills.
Craft rhythm.
Do not seek highlights.
Seek alignment.
The WayMaker asks:
What does it look like to be fully here?
Fully engaged?
Fully alive, even in the ordinary?
Because the goal is not to die yearning.
The goal is to live fulfilled.
On a average Tuesday.
In your own home.
Doing work that matters, with people you love, becoming someone you respect.
Put It Into Action
Audit your life. Not for what is missing. But for what you have refused to live fully.
- Ask: Where have I been waiting to start?
- What am I pretending I need before I can go all in?
- What would it look like to live this week like it is my only week?
- Forget the bucket list.
- Forge a bucket life.
*Who came to mind while reading this?
Share it with them. They are likely chasing more when they already have enough to begin.*
Forge Forward,
Jon Mayo
